Intensa Learning System

  • Intensive oral practice is the key to achieving conversational proficiency, so our methodology focuses on the speaking and listening skills during class time.

  • Short readings provide different thematic contexts while the writing skill is developed after class at homestay.

  • While we offer a variety of conversational tasks for each lesson, the students are challenged to rely less and less on accompaying written material.

  • In the step by step process, you will role play practical situations in the classroom such as talking about yourself, ordering a meal, taking a cab, buying tickets, filling a prescription, giving directions, exchanging money, and cashing checks.

  • Instructors limit their explanations to the necessary so that students have the most oral practice time possible. The small number of students allotted to each group allows teachers to give personalized attention to the individual student.

  • Our over-riding goal is to enable students to communicate their thoughts and feeling in a variety of situations, at home, in public, at school and professionally.
